Ruby Red Slippers for BaBa

Well, I mentioned in one of my posts right after we returned about the Ruby Red Slippers bought in Guangzhou not working to get us home. Today, I got a real pair of Ruby Red Slippers thanks to the sale at REI today. I have not had shoes that I have been so comfortable in since I had my first pair of Clarks shoes. The last couple of pairs of Clarks have not been as comfortable. I got my first pair of Keens this summer at REI. One of our traveling group last summer in China had a pair that he wore on the trip. He raved about them. It took me a year to buy my first pair and then I did not take them off this summer until I got my second pair (green — which is my favorite color). I now have a new style — Venice to add to my two pair of Newports. I have a pair of their regular shoes on order to wear to school when it gets colder.

It is time to end all of the shoe talk. It is funny that Nancy from our travel group wrote that shoes were on sale at REI (after we had been there). Thanks for thinking of us Nancy. These Ruby Red Slippers should do the trick that the ones in Guangzhou did not.
