Travel Day 18 Theres No Place Like Home
Posted by BaBa under: Travel .
Theres no place like home. Theres no place like home. Theres no place like home. Just say this three times and click your Ruby Red Slippers (RRS) together three times and you are home. Only problem is that the RRS we bought in Guangzhou are like the Rolex watches you buy there imitations and the magic does not really work as far as transporting you home. We journeyed home the hard way long plane flights, but we are still getting to home sweet home. We are not going over the rainbow, but returning home to our little dog rainbow. Legally Blonde with Reese Witherspoon was playing on the plane and every time Sheridan saw the doggie, he started saying rainbow. So not over the rainbow but returning to our rainbow is our story.
The last couple of days Paul Simons lyrics were running through my head
I wish I was,
Homeward bound,
Home where my thought’s escaping,
Home where my music’s playing,
Home where my love lies waiting
Silently for me.
Tonight I’ll sing my songs again,
I’ll play the game and pretend.
But all my words come back to me in shades of mediocrity
Like emptiness in harmony I need someone to comfort me.
Homeward bound,
I wish I was,
Homeward bound,
Home where my thought’s escaping,
Home where my music’s playing,
Home where my love lies waiting
Silently for me.
Silently for me.
Well we are returning home where our love lies waiting silently for us. The loves of close friends and of course our family. Our family began with (sorry for the illusions to Charlie Chan movies) our Number One Son. The title is so fitting as he was our first family member who chose us to be his second set of parents. He was joined by his wife and highly esteemed grandchildren. We are glad we enjoy a warm relationship with his family including his original parents and especially his cousin and her parents. Our family tree has grown by grafting on different unique branches. Pops is going to need all of your experience as MaMa and I raise your new little brother.
Number One Son was joined by Only Daughter. She is our one and only daughter and thus holds a special place in our family. She has been joined to her husband and enlarged our family with his parents and his brother and wife and daughter. Of course our family includes my parents who are anxiously awaiting their newest grandchild. We have given them the first and last grandchild. Sheridan also has two Aunts and Uncles and several cousins who are awaiting his arrival. In particular, Ben cannot wait to show him how to use as lasso.
We woke early thanks to jetlage and are just waiting as we try to get over jet lag and prepare for the final leg home. It gives me time to have caught up the entire story of our adventures and misadventures in this wonderful journey. Thanks be to God for being with us every step of the way.

Can’t wait to kiss those sweet baby boy cheeks and welcome you all home! Aria and I have ben reading everyday and she can’t wait for you to meet her baby sister and for us to meet Sheridan! It sounds like things are going so wonderfully! Rest up from jet lag and call us if you need anything!
Blessings,
Cristy
