Heartache During ‘The Wait’

One of the hardest things to handle during the wait for travel approval (for a special needs child) is when your child has a birthday and you are halfway around the world. I know during our wait Sheridan celebrated his second birthday. It was an extremely hard day with lots of tears shed as your heart aches to be holding your child.

Today is Shelby’s second birthday. Her family should be traveling to get her by the first of November. I just wanted to wish her a Happy Birthday and let her know how much she is already loved here in the United States.
