One Year Ago

One year ago, we received the most magnificent and life changing phone call of our lives. Deneice, with the WC Department of CCAI, called us at 4:25PM with our referral. Within an hour of the phone call, we were looking at the cutest boy we had ever seen and knew in our hearts that those pictures were of our son.

To be referred a son was a surprise, but one that we soon relished. We called Sheridan’s godmother first and she was so excited. The next phone call was to Susan and Dan as we knew they could help us find the right physicians to look over all the medical reports. The next few days were a blur of activity during which we gathered additional medical information and updated pictures. By the end of the week, we had sent in our LOI. Little did we know that we were just beginning the roller coaster ride to receiving our LOA and TA.

Sheridan is the light our lives and it feels like he has been in our family forever. God chose just the right child for us and we thank Him every day for the gift He gave us.
