First Friday Small Group

Posted by BaBa under: Daily Life; First Fridays .

Tonight we were invited to the Chapmans for a small group of First Friday. This evening dinner would have just a few adoptive families along with a few potential adoptive parents. It provides a smaller, more intimate group and a chance to talk about the process and options for creating a forever family.

Dan grilled burgers and we talked at length about various aspects of adoption and our adoption journeys. Everyone has a story and tonight we shared stories to allow us to get know each other better. Lily’s parents along with the Chapmans and ourselves made up the adoptive parents. We also had one couple, one single and one married lady make up the potential adoptive parents.

It was a nice evening and a wonderful way to spend time with friends who get to know each other more as we share each of our story with others who are just beginning on their journey to a forever family.

About Our Family

We have been married for 26 years, and have been blessed with our youngest son from China. Our oldest son is from Nicaragua. He and his wife have given us two outstanding grandchildren. Our daughter is Thai and is married to a wonderful son-in-law.

This is the chronicle of our adventures as a family with Sheridan.
