Post Surgery 2 – Visit 1

This morning was our first post-op visit following surgery 2. We awoke early and ventured to the medical offices. We arrived and waited a short amount of time for our appointment. The Surgeon asked a few questions and then had the technician come in to unwrap his cast. With the cast off, we all inspected his arm. No swelling. YEAH. The incision was longer than the first time, but was OK. I did glance over for a few short looks. I am not one for wounds, blood, etc. However, it was important for me to see how Sheridan was healing.
He is such a little trooper. He held his arm just right and put up with the poking and gwaking. He then continued this excellent behavior while he was re-cast again. The plan is now to have the drain removed next week as the cast is removed and the wound inspected. Then he will go several days with just a cast and the following week (if all is well), he will have the cast removed.
A good report for our little guy and his first baseball cards (3) thanks to Mac the technician (an excellent and skilled professional).
