Leaving on a Jet Plane Party and American Idol

Posted by BaBa under: Daily Life; Friends and Family .

We had a frantic day of cleaning in preparation for the evening of fellowship and friendship. We had a small community group over on Tuesday to pray for and send off Tymm and Laura on their journey Friday to get Baby Meron. Susan, Grace and Mimi came along with Team Radicchi. Jay, Angela and Laney attended as well. We missed Dan who was out of town along with Pete and Julie who were still in Colorado getting baby Nate. We kept them in our prayers as Susan brought news of their progress.

I cooked hotdogs, hamburgers and turkey burgers on the grill. We had a great time visiting and enjoying each other’s company. I did not take any photos as I was grilling and took the night off just to enjoy friends.

After dinner, Sheridan burst into a spontaneous business presentation as he set up stage on the fireplace hearth. He then turned into a singing star with spontaneous songs. We are not sure of 90% of the lyrics, but he was funny to watch. He would sing a verse complete with dramatic hand gestures and dramatic body language. He then instructed the audience of Tymm, Laura, Susan, Mimi and Grace to please clap. He repeated his thrilling performances several times and sometimes when the applause was not quick enough he would tell us to clap, clap. His last song was ode to baby Meron. This one was clear and we could understand the words Meron and Ethiopia in his signing. He was hilarious.

You just never know what to expect with our little guy, but it was clear that he wanted to entertain us and that he was praying for Baby Meron. What better a sendoff could we have Tymm and Laura. Godspeed to you and safe travels. You are in our prayers and we are eagerly waiting to see your little girl in your arms.

One Comment so far...
