Tymm and Laura’s Shower for Meron

Yesterday, we attended a shower for Uncle Tymm and Aunt Laura hosted by Team Radicchi along with Jay and Angela. A really nice day was had by all. We are so excited for Tymm and Laura to be so close to going to Ethiopia to get Baby Meron. They ahve been through a real ride on the adoption roller coaster and it looks like the first part of the ride is nearing and end. With adoption, the ride never really ends, but the scenery does change quickly and so doe the twists and turns.

We gathered at the Radicchi’s compound and then just socialized for awhile. Later we played Ethiopian trivia. Dan had a few “Creative” guesses and won the Ethiopian Coffee that was the prize. Then it was time for the packages. Meron is going to be one stylin girl with all of the cute clothes she received. The gifts only are a small representation of the love and affection that all of our adoption community has for them and their delightful new daughter. Yes, Meron is already their daughter because of the way Ethiopian adoption works. They have already had their case heard in Ethiopian court and had custody awarded to them. Once this was accomplished, their permission to travel was granted. It is a little different than the Chinese process, but the same excellent results.
