Renaissance Fare and Birthday Tour — 5/17/08

Posted by BaBa under: Daily Life; Friends and Family .

We checked in on my dad after we went to T-ball. Actually they went to T-ball. I went to get us ready for the Renaissance Festival. We had return tickets from our trip earlier this spring and today seemed to be the perfect day to go.

I got a Sub at Subway to carry to the Fare for lunch and cleaned the car while they finished at t-ball. We then hit the road for the drive to the Fare. We went back to see the horses first. He really had enjoyed seeing them the last time. We purposefully were going to skip the jousts after he was upset on the last trip. We arrived just as the horse show was starting and he really enjoyed seeing the horses. After the show, he got a chance to pet one.

We went back today to see the shows. We saw the acrobats and the folks who walk on stilts. We then listened to the Celtic music while we ate lunch. MaMa and Magoo had food from the food vendors while I ate my sub. The music made lunch really enjoyable.

We had some time to play at the playground which Sheridan really liked. Then we caught the last juggling show. Sheridan was the youngest in the audience and got to appear in the show. He went on stage and was to hold two large nails (like his Nana’s knitting needles) straight in the air. The juggler was then spun two balls and placed one on the tip of each nail. Sheridan got to hold the spinning balls high in the air.

What great pictures.

We left the Fare after having a great day of fun. We then went to Karen and Bruce’s house for dinner and to let the boys play together. Bruce cooked chicken on the grill and we brought a cake to celebrate Sheridan’s birthday early with the Ladmans. Sheridan and Micah had great fun blowing out the candle when Sheridan wanted Micah to take a turn. We left after a great meal and a fun filled day. What a great way to spend our 26th Anniversary.
