Prayers Needed

We are asking for some prayers for three very special people in our lives.
Prayer Request One
Sheridan’s paternal grandfather (GaGa) had a mild stroke Friday morning. He spent Friday night in the hospital and was discharged Saturday. It appears that the stroke was quite mild – we don’t see any long term effects right now. We are thankful that he was already on Warfarin as it helped to thin out the blood clots. GaGa cannot remember a three hour time period on Friday morning – he just remembers waking up in the ER. Please pray that any ill effects of the stroke remain minimal.
Prayer Request Two
A fellow adoptive mom’s husband is VERY sick. His name is Scott and he is weathering a thyroid storm. At the moment, he is in the ICU and the doctors are trying to stabilize him in order to remove the thyroid gland. Please keep him in your prayers as this was a very sudden occurance. Scott’s wife and daughter are some of the sweetest people you could happen to meet. Their hearts are heavy at this time.
Prayer Request Three
Tomorrow is Sheridan’s surgery. He will have the extra blood vessels removed from his wrist as well as being circumcised. Sheridan seems to have a grasp on the circumcision, but can’t really understand why anyone wants to touch his wrist. Since the wrist doesn’t impede him in any way, I see why he is confused. Please pray for the skillful hands of the surgeons as well as peace for our little guy. I don’t know any parent who wants their child to be in pain.
Lord, hear our prayers, for your Mercy is great.

We are praying for Sheridan’s surgery, your father and for Scott. Keep us posted on the surgery. We’ll pray for a super speedy recovery.

At breakfast this morning, Micah said “Aunt Kim, Aunt Kim!!!” You were on his mind. So we stopped to pray for you specifically as well as for Uncle Michael (Uh-Oh I-Oh), Sheridan and his Gaga. You’ll be on my mind all day.

Your family is in our prayers this week. We are praying for a successful surgery for Sheridan with a speedy recovery. We also keep your father in our prayers.
