Laughter
Posted by BaBa under: Daily Life .
“Get into the habit of laughing; too many of us have forgotten how to laugh. As people grow older, they sometimes forget that they ever laughed. It is a part of their childhood that they can no longer remember.”– Maxwell Maltz
Laughter is the sound the radiates from the house. It starts for me when I return from work. Sometimes when I return home from work I am greeted by a jumping bean. The Sheridan jumping bean. He is screaming BaBa is home, BaBa is home. He is competing with Rainbow (our chihuahua) who is vying for my attention. I am surrounded as I walk through the door by a sense of peace.
Other days, I jump up and down when MaMa and Sheridan come home and he just starts cracking up as he watches me imitate his joyous reception.
Some days, I get in the house and find him busy watching Ni Hao, Kai-Lan and I get to sneak in the house. He is so full of joy here with us. His joy is our joy and it is contagious to those who are near him.
Laughter is the music of the soul. Since he has come home, Sheridan has begun to play his tune. His melody quickly has become intertwined into the song of our lives. Ours is an older melody seasoned with a quarter of a century of our memories. The contrast in the two keeps the song fresh, energetic and invigorating.
Our house is joyous place filled with the sound of laughter which is music to our souls.
- “Laughter is the sensation of feeling good all over and showing it principally in one place.” — Josh Billings

Can you imagine all the laughter we would have missed without our babies? I can’t bear to think of it!
These little ones keep us young, keep us smiling, and keep us laughing hard!
Thanks for the quotes!
