Flying Car? — Destination Ethiopia
Posted by BaBa under: Daily Life; Friends and Family .
Sheridan says to MaMa while behind the steering wheel of the car– “Sit right here.”
MaMa — “Where are we going?”
Sheridan — “To Ethiopia to get baby Meron!!!!”
MaMa — “Oh. That is a long trip. What will we do for money.”
Sheridan opens change drawer in dash — “We have all we need here.”
Sheridan proceeds to take out the money and put in the cup holder between the seats to emphasize this.
This is not the only trip he has made to Ethiopia for Baby Meron.
Sheridan was riding a dinosaur at the playground the other day. When asked by another parent in the playgroup where he was going? He replied that he was going to Ethiopia to get baby Meron.
Just today he asked MaMa when baby Meron was coming home? He had heard only one time last night us saying that our friends Tymm and Laura had just gotten their consulate appointment. How smart is he? We are now going to print a calendar to help him mark off the days.
We are thrilled for our friends as they are now near the end of their beginning for this first adoption. The ride has been twisty and hard at times. Our prayers are with them as they prepare for their trip and become united with their daughter. We are rejoicing and cannot wait to party at the airport when we see all of them together at last.
Sheridan in his own way is waiting for his new friend. The red thread seems to have bound them together in ways that none of us can understand. Instead we need only rejoice in the miracle of this connection.
Psalms 30:5
For a moment is passed in his anger, a life in his favour; at even weeping cometh for the night, and at morn there is rejoicing.

I can’t wait to see these two together. Sheridan has a heart for other adopted children. I can’t wait to see what his life will bring him.

I just saw this….man, I love seeing the connection Sheridan has for our little girl. I truly believe she feels it, too.
