Spring Break — Day Trip to Atlanta
Posted by BaBa under: Daily Life .
It is Spring Break. What a wonderful concept. This year instead of traveling, we decided to travel just a short distance and see some things in Atlanta with Sheridan. We made the trip today to Fernbank Science Museum. We were going to see the Dinosaurs at the museum and an exhibit entitled “In the Dark” which features creatures who come out at Dark. It had many wonderful interactive parts and although Sheridan is a little young for most of these, he had a good time. He really enjoyed the dinosaurs. He also liked the lightning in a globe as you can see. However, he had the most fun blowing large bubbles in the bubble section. He also liked getting both hands all soapy.
We left Fernbank with a membership so that we can come again at any time. We had planned to go to the Michael Carlos Museum at Emory, but time was a little short and we had a hungry guy. So we changed plans on the fly. We ate Zesto’s for a quick bite and then went to the Zoo. We had an enjoyable day walking around the Zoo. Sheridan loves seeing the Merkats, Otters and of course the Pandas. The BaBa Panda was asleep outside. The MaMa Panda was busy eating Bamboo and Mei Lan was sleeping. She woke up before we left and I was able to get some good shots of her on this trip. We had a great time today. We are planning another outing later this week to Emory and then back to the Zoo. A certain someone wants to ride the train.

Sounds like your trip was awesome! Let me know next time you go to the zoo. I have some friends who work there who can give you a little hook up!

Kim: I can’t believe we didn’t even talk about being special ed teachers. When you were “on stage” at First Friday, I guess it should come as no surprise because you just have that look about you! Ha ha. Thanks for all that info — what a great introduction to First Friday. Let me know if you have Liberty’s blog? Thanks, Ellen (ellenfrancesfay@yahoo.com) Take care, kisses to Sheridan
