Going to Big School for Dr. Seuss’s Birthday
Posted by BaBa under: Daily Life .
Sheridan got to go to Big School with MaMa and BaBa on Friday to celebrate Dr. Seuss”s Birthday. There was a Read Across America day of celebration in our Family and Consumer Science department. The teacher invited children to come in and celebrate Dr. Seuss’s Birthday. This celebration happens all over the country each year. We were glad that even though he was under their target age of 4 and up that he was invited. Sheridan loves to have books read to him and with MaMa there by his side it was a natural for him.
You can tell that our little guy had some fun even before the day started mugging for BaBa and the camera. He enjoyed the stories, the other children and his cupcake. However, I think that he enjoyed sneaking into BaBa’s class a couple of times each of the three class periods to visit the “Big Kids” that BaBa teaches. Of course, he also liked the fact that BaBa’s room has 28 yes 28 computers complete with too many buttons, keys and switches than he could possibly count or quickly switch on or off. He did try his best to sneak over to visit one of these big computers on one of his trips and only got to turn the monitor off before being “caught” and sent back to all of the girls and children in the Birthday (reading) party. As you can see he had a great time.
