Sheridan’s Boo Boo

Posted by BaBa under: Daily Life .

Saturday it snowed in Atlanta for the second time in a week. I cannot remember getting two snows in a week in my life. It was just enough to look nice, but not enough to cause problems in the road. Sheridan and I went out in the snow to run errands — just the two of us. We were out for about 3 hours (a record). We visited the post office, Walmart, QT, Target, Staples, and then a haircut for the little guy. He did well with the haircut. He did not like it, but he did not prevent the stylist (what does one call these folks today?) from doing her job at Fantastic Sams. He really was good while sitting in my lap and then even got a shampoo like a big guy.
Our last stops were for lunch (takeout Chinese) and then drop a book in the library drop box. He got a little restless on the way home as he was tired and hungry (despite 2 snacks). However all in all a successful outing.

We were running errands instead of going to Kangaroo Bob’s for Travis birthday party. This evening, we went to a colleague’s house for dinner (traditional Indian cuisine) and some fellowship. Sheridan played really well with their young daughter (about his age). He did fall out of the chair at dinner and got a Boo Boo on his head. It was an Egg sized knot. He did not like Ice on his Boo Boo and cried as it really hurt. Being new toddler parents, we were torn between over reaction and he is a boy and boys get Boo Boo’s. He was eating TeddyGram cookies and walking around acting normal except for the Boo Boo. Kim called Amy who gave her great advice and we stopped worrying and went back to enjoying dinner.

We had a really nice time at dinner and Sheridan got to eat at the big table with MaMa and BaBa since he had a Boo Boo. He ate apple with BaBa and rice while BaBa had Peanut Butter and Jelly along with apple and orange. MaMa enjoyed the cooking along with Sheridan. All in all a good night and our first worries as parentes passed without problem.

He did not sleep well that night as he was up crying multiple times, but was better the next day and then ready for more adventures.

One Comment so far...
