Christmas Eve Preparations

Christmas Day

Sheridan comes into our room every morning with 3 requests — Oatmeal, Hot tea and water. Occasionally yogurt is requested. Request is not a good word as he repeats these items over and over. After a little cuddling and tickling, we prepared to see if Santa had arrived. First we would check to see if the Santa supplies were gone. He was surprised to find an empty plate. Then after Hot Tea, he went in to find stuff under the tree.

Christmas is still an unknown quantity for Sheridan. He was very happy just looking at the two Elmo books. Little interest in unwrapping packages. He did come around and got into the swing of things. Santa arrived at our house to visit Sheridan, MaMa and BaBa. Unwrapping took the mandatory pause for Oatmeal.

It was an Elmo Christmas with a few electronics for Sheridan, BaBa and a couple of kitchen cooking tools for MaMa. MaMa got a rice cooker with Fuzzy Logic, a GPS (so she will not get lost going to playdates) and a small food processor. Sheridan got a big Elmo, Elmo as an animated Chicken, a couple of books, a tool set and a refurbished computer with 2 games. BaBa got a new pocketwatch, some jeans, a video and his camera.

Christmas Dinner
He helped pick up the paper and we rested while he played. We later journeyed to my sister’s house for Family dinner. We had a good time with my Brother In Law doing the cooking. Ben and Sheridan played. They seem to have a special bond as he loves to see the little guy over holidays.
