On the Way Home from the Frozen North
Posted by BaBa under: Daily Life .
Short post as it was not a real eventful day. I gave my presentation at the conference in the morning. The session went well and the audience was interested, but small (about 20 to 25). It went really well as I have spoken on the topic many times. I sent out my college grades for their film presentations and posted the student’s grades for this project. I did some more paperwork while attending sessions and packed. I also spent an hour on a teleconference learning how to connect a Filemaker Database to a MySQL table on line. It will be something quite useful if I can pull it off. I will be able to do lesson plans on the computer and then upload them to the web for the students. I can see how this will make updating the database on the web much easier and also begin to allow for the formation of a project database.
I took the shuttle back to the airport and took a couple of photos of the snow. It sure was cold. I got Magoo an Elmo book and Elmo Christmas ornament on the trip. The flight home went well. We did not have a full airplane and so I was able to have two seats on the smaller jet. I got a chance to write and do a little work on the flight. I arrived and began the long trip home with the ride to the park and ride. I got home late and was oh so glad to get home. There is nothing like sleeping in your own bed.
