Tears and Fears

Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there, especially Baba’s mom. She is the greatest! If I had to special order a mother-in-law, Nana would have been it. She has always been there for me, no matter what. She has never judged, just always given very wise advice and a supportive shoulder to lean on -be it with tears or joy.

The last three weeks have been a very emotional place in our home. I cry at least half a dozen times a day and my emotions are just raw. If I knew we were approved to get Sheridan, I could handle the wait. The uncertainty of not knowing if CCAA will approve our application with the additional information provided has just about made me come unhinged. As usual, BaBa is the strong one in the family. He just holds me and tells me everything will be alright.

We have decided to go ahead and make some plans for a few long weekends away this summer. BaBa teaches at the university on Monday and Wednesdays this summer so we should be able to get in some good four day weekends. We have to remember that life goes on even during the wait to find out if we are able to get Sheridan. At this point, we should know, be it positive or negative, an answer from CCAA by the end of June.
