Cracker Fairy

Posted by BaBa under: Daily Life; Friends and Family .

I know it is a catchy title. It is also not politically correct, but it fits. We had told Sheridan that he could not have another cracker before Tymm and Laura arrived. He was hungry and going non stop — Cracker, Cracker, Cracker. Repeat another 500 times. SO when Tymm and Laura arrived, he thought that the cracker fairy had arrive. My friend Tymm wrote about this so well. I really like how that sounds. My friend Tymm, not the Cracker Fairy. There is not much more that I can add about our cracker obsessed little guy. Maybe a photo or two would be better.

See the family resemblance?

Seriously, we had a wonderful time when Tymm and Laura came over on Saturday. It was great to spend some time with these wonderful folks and to share stories with some Shrimp Scampi along with Lemon Cake. We were excited to hear about their Ethiopia referral and cannot wait to see a photo posted when the referral is accepted. We are praying for the medical reports to come back positively for them and Baby E. Adoption is a great thing. It is the answer to so many prayers. Our lives are not the same as they were. We are truly blessed with our little guy and with all of those in our First Friday Community. We are especially enjoying developing some close relationships within this community. What an awesome blessing from an awesome God.

Thanks for a great evening. They brought Sheridan a little truck with blocks and he is having a wonderful time playing with this. He so wants to build things. We got his train set given to him by his Aunt and Uncle. This one of the first times that he has played by himself. He was not interested really in the trains, but in the track and how it went together. He likes Thomas the train, but it was the engineering of the track that captured his attention.

Tymm and Laura also brought us our very own Christmas Ornament. It is ornate brass Asian bell. They were inspired to bring the bell because of our story — When a bell rings, which I published this weekend. How cool was this. It is currently hanging on the tree in a place of honor and is the only ornament on the tree at this moment. I know that I will be hearing it ring soon for them and Baby E.

If you see Tymm on Friday, make sure he is wearing his cool new cap. Hint. Hint.

One Comment so far...

What a special gift. I love the Asian bells ornament. Your little cookie monster is too cute!
