Taking Sheridan to Church SOLO

Posted by BaBa under: Daily Life .

MaMa was not feeling well on Sunday, so I got the chance to take Sheridan to church. We did well on our short excursion of two hours. You see Sheridan rarely goes anywhere without MaMa. We have only been on a few short excursions together without MaMa. The previous trips have been to Home Depot, Lowes and to get Ice Cream for MaMa when we were meeting Grampy and Nana and MaMa for icecream at the Dairy Queen. MaMa wanted pumpkin pie ice cream from another store. This is unusual as I (the picky eater) is the one who goes to a different store for something.

He did really well at Church. I taught him to bow at the altar. He took communion. He gave his offering. He did not disturb others and I kept him from running down the center ailse.

We lit a candle for Donna, CJ, Travis and Caleb (and of course Shelby. We lit another for Tymm and Laura along with Baby E and Baby C.

He played the organ after service and before Sunday School. He ran in the lobby and brought smiles to all. We went to Sunday School and he ate and was happy. Two hours is a long time not to have much opportunity to run, dance, scream, yell and well be a boy who is so 2.

Here are the trip statistics:

  • Distance to Church (3 repetitions of the Ant Song (2:20)) from one of the toddler tune CD’s
  • 2 package of Rice Crackers (2 to a package)
  • 3 oreo type cookies
  • 1 bottle of water
  • 1 cup of lemonaide
  • 1 snack Chinese swirl crackers
  • An experience of being with my youngest son, PRICELESS

Sounds like a fun day for father and son. Praying with you for the journey to Shelby and the Hoffman babies!
