We Visited Asia and Central America Today!

Posted by MaMa under: Daily Life .

Sheridan and I set off for the Asian Farmers Market Today. Actually, it is a large grocery store on the other side of town that carries Asian and Hispanic foods. This is the only place in town that we have been able to find the snacks that Sheridan likes – he dislikes Cherrios and we don’t mind giving him these special snacks from China. I located the snacks and then found another snack that I thought he might like to try. At this point, Mr. Sheridan turned into the Tasmanian Devil. Total meltdown as he wanted this new snack. I opened the canister and put some in his Snack Trap as I attempted to check out, but this wasn’t good enough. He wanted the whole canister. Well, the Tasmanian Devil aroused the senses of all the Korean, Vietamese, and Hispanic grandmothers in the grocery store and they decided to ‘help’ me. Before I knew it, they had snatched him from the buggy, were trying to dry his tears, talking to him in every language except English, and admonishing me for not giving him the entire canister. I finally got checked out, retreived my son, and headed for the car. These ‘helpful’ grandmothers followed me to the car, shaking their fingers at me and still reaching for Sheridan. By the grace of God, we finally got belted in and headed back home.

For all who have been to Asia and Central America, you know that the grandmothers will do anything to keep a child from crying. So with only an hour’s drive versus a fifteen hour flight to China, Sheridan and I visited Asia and Central America today. Sure didn’t have that planned in today’s schedule!

Wow, that sounds like an adventure! Thanks for sharing and posting for all of us who love to hear
about Sheridan. You probaby owe this adventure to BaBa considering he chose the name for
the website. It is only fitting that his son live up to it!

I LOVE going to that market!!! Next time, we can go together and cause a bigger hullabaloo with all three of ’em! He is such a cutie, I bet they were all just looking for an excuse to get their hands on him!!!

Give His Royal Highness the Prince kisses from the Claxton Clan!
