Arts and Crafts Festival
Posted by BaBa under: Daily Life .
We were encouraged to try for a real stretch and go to a large arts and crafts festival about 75 minutes from home. We were going right after church. We are determined to get him used to riding in the car seat and also not to change what we do because we are now three and not two.
Oh how silly of us. We had a long ride after his short nap. He screamed and cried much louder than if he had not had the short nap. He kept this up for the whole trip to Newnan. It only broke when we stopped to get information for directions. This was but a short break, but we were almost there along with our one last frazzled nerve belonging to each of us.
We did arrive and got Magoo out and in his chariot. Over the rough uneven terrain, the three large bike type tires make moving this stroller very easy. It is not the right choice for everyday, but for outings it is just right. We enjoyed the music while Magoo had a funnel cake and some nachos. We strolled around and looked at all of the wares from the artists. The show is not as good as it used to be. It seemed that there were 4 or 5 vendors selling music that were recorded on pan flutes for example.
We started for home and another long crying ride. We stopped part way to get a snack for him and the worst milkshakes from Hardee’s. We arrived home exhausted. Still we were glad that we went and determined to try again tomorrow to break the car seat terrors.
Here are some pictures of Magoo in the swing he enjoyed at the Fair.
