Bedroom DONE
Posted by BaBa under: Preparations .
The hardest to complete was the bedroom. In the next couple of days, I may add another post with a slide show of some of the contruction or reconstruction photos. Always trying to keep the small audience on the site interested and passing time. This is about the bedroom so let’s get back on the subject.
The bedroom is done with no theme at all. That is right — no theme. This way it does not have to be updated as he grows up. The walls were done in a golden brown and feature a deep royal blue for the blinds (already existing in the room). We chose the royal blue as an accent color for his shelves (already existing in the room, but previously lavendar in color) and to repaint the drawer fronts from the original fading white. The other accent color is a deep crimson red for the curtains and in the bed comforter stripe. We painted the headboard bought at a garage sale the deep blue to round out the room. My grandfather’s desk has been temporarily removed from the room (he will be able to use this in later years) and added a glider and ottoman from another room. The glider was already covered in a navy fabric print and it works well with the color palette.
Take a look at the room below:
