100 Wishes Quilt — 45th & 46th Squares

The 45th and 46th squares come from the heart of civilization — Egypt. When we visited Egypt several years ago, our guide, Mohamed, was wonderful. We have remained friends throughout the years. He bought these beaitiful quilt squares in Luxor, the city that is the gateway to the Valley of the Kings, Thebes and Karnak (the largest religious site in the world). They are going to be the center squares in the two quilts we will be able to make for Sheridan.
The squares each feature a lotus flower design.
A wish from the heart of the heart of the world —
My heart wishes you long happy lucky life
…as the Ancient Egyptians used to wish for their children
…because to live a long happy life with good luck means
You will get every thing good in this life ….
