School Carnival

This shot shows the Sheridan’s shoe and Shelby’s. I just thought that is was an interesting juxtaposition.

Friday night was an interesting night. We went with the Straights to their school fundraiser party. We had a good time and as always enjoyed their company. We won one of the cake walks and Magoo enjoyed the iced cookies. He also got to play on the bouncy inflatables as part of their admission ticket. We enjoyed the pasta or burgers after snacking on popcorn and Sheridan’s first taste of cotton candy.

They had a lot of fun, but the night ended suddenly. Sheridan ran and slipped colliding with a sliding board. He open a bloody gash in his head at the top of his hairline. He is OK, but it was a little scary for awhile. I picked him up and raced across the playground to the school. MaMa took over the carrying job when we got on the pavement in order to give me a short break. I then resumed carrying Sheridan for the last leg till we could get him settled on a picnic table and then cleaned up enough to get to the car. A short ride and we were at the Straights to get him doctored up and iced down. We gave him some children’s motrin and a butterfly bandage. We had him lay flat for about an hour with an ice pack before heading home.
