Trip Day 6 — Adventure

We last left you having left a fun day in San Francisco at two museums and riding the CalTrain back to Milbrae. We arrived at Milbrae to find chaos had broken out. No cabs. Business closed. Helicopter in the air and plenty of red flashing lights to compliment the blue flashing lights. We found a shopping cart at the station and loaded Magoo into the buggy along with the camera bag, and backpack. We set off to walk up to the main street.

We arrived to find the street blocked with police, firefighters and other emergency personnel. There was construction at a site a couple of blocks down and the crew had hit the gas line. It was a major gas line and you could smell it in the air. Before we knew what had happened, we thought about getting dinner, but this was also not an option since the surrounding restaurants were now closed due to the gas break.

So we decided to have a grand adventure and hoof it. We had to walk up one extra block and then could parallel the main street for several blocks to get around the problem. There were many people on the street walking and traffic as you can imagine was a mess.

We looked like we were real street people pushing a shopping cart with our bags and Magoo in the cart. He just thought this was a grand adventure and you know — he was right.
