First Day of School – Year 2

I have been in school for two weeks now, but today was the first day of school for Sheridan. Well, not really. He actually started school with MaMa before I went back, but today is the first day of classes for him. This year he is again attending classes for home schoolers at a one of the large churches in the area. This is one of their ministries and he thrived in his classes last year.

He has been looking forward to going back for another year. The little guy loves to learn. He wakes up most mornings asking MaMa what are you going to teach me today. What a great attitude. He has been telling us for over a week, I get to go back to classes in X days and each days counts down one more until he gets to go to class. This year he is taking 4 classes again every Tuesday. He is taking a cooking class, one on the solar system and one on the states. His other class is for boys called Snips and Snails. That one should be interesting.

He has a busy calendar as we have added classes on Friday for the arts. One of the classes is a Mr. Science type class and the other is beginning piano. We have an old electronic piano that he is fascinated with and he cannot wait to begin learning how to play.

He is also in a homeschool co-op and this is the group where MaMa attends her Mom’s night out. They do not begin until September.
