Happy Father’s Day and Other Ramblings

Happy Father’s Day to all the dads and dads-to-be! BaBa is excited as this will be his last Father’s Day before becoming an ‘official BaBa’. BaBa’s dad, Grampy, isn’t home for this Father’s Day as he and Nana are off cruising – I think the Saint Lawrence River this time. It’s hard to keep up with Grampy and Nana as they are truly enjoying retirement and they travel every chance they can get.
Sheridan’s room and bath are coming along. Pictures will be in a couple of weeks as BaBa is not going to be home and I don’t have a clue how to upload pictures to the blog!
I had tea with M yesterday (she is one of my friends that is throwing us a shower) and she was so excited about the cake she found for the shower. She had looked all over for an appropriate adoption cake and had just about given up until she went to Sam’s Club. She told the baker what she needed and the bakery staff got so excited. Apparently, they have an adoption cake that is adorable, but they never get to make it. From what M described (she CANNOT keep a secret about some things), the cake has a long pea pod on it with several peas in the pod. The middle pea is a picture of the soon-to-be-adopted child and says – “I’ve Been Picked!” Sounds positively wonderful!
Two of my JanuaryDTCYahoo friends are in China right now getting their sons. Kellyann and family are SICK and just hanging on by their fingernails. Wanda and Kai are having a great time (Dad came home after the first week) and Kai has turned into a 5 year old little tornado. He is really keeping Wanda on her toes. Both families should be home this week. Please pray for safe travels for our cyber-friends.
