Gratitude

I read Tymm’s post tonight over at Camp Hoffman tonight and it was a great post about God touching each of us.

Sheridan was out at dinner tonight and got to say the blessing. God is Great, God is Good, Let us thank him for our food.He has been saying the blessing for over 2 years.

This summer we have added a bible verse – Psalms 136-1 Oh Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good. This is where he on occasion adds his own thoughts like thanks for Mama, Baba, Rainbow.

Tonight, he astounded MaMa by adding — thank you for this food and friends and all the gifts we have been given including Mama, BaBa.

We have always tried to teach him to be gracious. He is often complemented on his manners and courtesy. This is something that we have always emphasized and we could not be more thrilled to see that he has taken the concept of manners and courtesy to heart. He opens the door for me when we go out and I open the door for him. He thanks me for opening his door and I thank him for opening mine. He is thankful for the little things in life and it obvious that he has not missed the bigger things either.

In everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:18
