Travel Packet II (TPII)

Posted by BaBa under: Showers; The Waiting Game .

We had a wonderful dinner last night at one of the Japanese restaurants in our area. We went there after going to the scrapbook store for more stickers for the second baby shower. Shower preparation can be a lot of work. We are lucky enough to be the recepients of two showers, one for church (thrown by two dear friends) and one for family and friends (thrown by my Mom and MaMa’s dearest friend of over 17 years). We found the stickers and made the early bird seating (more food, less $, just right for me).

After dinner, I felt a slight tightening in my stomach. It was not a pain and it was not from having my belt too tight. We sat down at the computers and read the information from the Yahoo groups and checked our mail. Travel Packet II was ready to download. We then spent time signing the forms and getting ready with this next stage. During the process, I noticed the tightening in my stomach increase. I mentioned this to MaMa and she was feeling it too. We thought that it must be from dinner.

We went about working on the documents and shower invitations while we pondered the tightening in our stomachs. We just about ruled out that it was caused from dinner. We started to think about what to take for the symptoms. We ruled out Pepto and Tylenol . We even thought but quickly dismissed Ralph’s cure of chocolate. Ralph from our yahoo groups thinks chocolate is the universal cure.

In a flash it hit me what triggered the tightening in our stomachs — TPII. It was at that point that I also realized we had just experienced a red-thread contraction. The invisible red-thread that connects us with Sheridan had just gotten a little tighter indicating that we are one step closer to getting him in our arms. We will have to be mindful of the other contractions and the frequency of them which are bound to increase.
