Bloody Nose

We had gotten Magoo to be and were relaxing watching a little TV prior to bedtime. Magoo began to cry and we thought that it was another night terror. Well it was, but not in the true sense of the term. It was a night terror for us. I went upstairs and found him covered in blood and it pouring from his nose. I carried him to the bathroom and then got Mama to come to assist me. We called Nana for a advice as I worked to clean him up and Mama worked to get it to stop.

We were on the way to the ER when it slowed to a trickle. We applied an ice pack to the back of his neck and stemmed his nose bleed. He was one shaken up little guy and we had experienced our terror in the night. We then slept restlessly for the rest of the night, but he was OK.

He had a second occurrence the next afternoon just before I had to go to class. We got this one stopped quickly. It appeared right after he tripped in the kitchen. This maybe due to his vaccinations on Tuesday or to dry air or both. We are treating it to prevent further occurrences.

I guess that we earned our latest parenting merit badge.
