What bag would a world traveler carry – One from Timbuk2

Time to pause for a geek style review. I have been looking for a bag to carry my HP tablet. I gave up on carrying a backpack with the Kitchen Sink in it this year. I switched to a compromise computer. I wanted a netbook, but it would not do what I needed. Just not quite powerful enough. I also wanted a tablet to use for grading student work at their computer. HP had a Touchsmart computer that was just right with a 12.1 inch screen.
It is too big for the netbook cases where the screens are at most 10 inches. So it is harder to find a bag that will fit correctly without being way too big or not large enough to fit the computer. I tried the Targus Atlanta Messenger. It was just too tight to carry the necessary gear. I tried an Incase Nylon Sleeve for the 13 inch Macbook. It was a little tight and the handles blew out after a month. So I went to REI and found the Timbuk2.
The bag fits my Tablet quite well. It fits in the bag nicely. I like the corduroy compartment that keeps the laptop snug and protected. The rest of the bag holds my small 6×9 notebook and one 1/2 binder. It also has room for the required cords and cables. It is a tight fit to get it all in, but I normally do not carry the 1/2 binder.
The strap is well designed and the pad is the most comfortable I have used. The bag does have a nice carry handle situated to the back that is also very secure and comfortable.
A good bag that is well made.
