7 More Sleeps

Seven. It is a good number, but not as good as 6 or 5 or 4 . . . The weekends are even longer than the weekdays. I talked to them on the computer tonight and to MaMa on the phone today. Magoo did not sleep last night and of course MaMa did not sleep. Both of them are tired and I could hear it in their voices and in see it on their faces. It is heat breaking that I cannot say anything that really makes it better. I also feel it on this end.
The only thing to do is be positive and there is only 7 more sleeps until I fly up to rejoin my family. I miss both of them.
Today’s activities included going out briefly this morning to go to the Post Office and return some boxes that we did not need. Rainbow went with me on this quick trip. i then went by Chick-Fil-A to get a chicken biscuit. We then returned home and I spent the day on Craig’s List. I have been listing the odds and ends that we have for sale as we resume the clean out the garage campaign which took a break for school starting.
I posted right at 20 items. Tonight I got my first hit for the small refrigerator that I have for sale. I am going to meet the person tomorrow after church since it is close to where he lives. One item down and hopefully more to go and soon.
In the meantime, the Christmas movie marathon continues here on my TV. DVRs, what did we do without them?
Tomorrow is for computer work. We are going to back up the blog and do an neccessary upgrade to the WordPress. This will allow the blog to run the current version of Word Press. It is also a necessary upgrade so that I can easily post photos from the iPhone to the blog. This should make it easier to do photos updates and hopefully will increase my posting.
We will also upgrade the tablet to PC to Windows 7 from Vista.
Finally and most important we will be putting a new hard drive on the home network and setting up a backup system using CrashPlan so that we are taking a better more organized approach to data security. Too may valuable pictures and memories that we cannot loose.
