Thanksgiving 2009

Happy Thanksgiving!!

Today is a day to be grateful for all the blessings that we have in our lives. A day set aside to give thanks to God for these blessings and to name these blessings as we spend time with friends and family.

Our blessings are many even in these times of uncertainty that we face in our country. With the problems with our economy, it is easy to look at what we have lost in terms of jobs, productivity, under employment, pay cuts, and the general doom & gloom of the evening news.

As Americans, we will get through the economic downturn and things will improve. It may not recover entirely next year, but it is bound to get better. With a little luck, the politicians will wake-up and pass some meaningful reforms after they have read the proposals instead of continuing on their current path of passing the latest fad legislation.

I am personally thankful for my family. Thankful for my Mom, Dad, Mother, Aunt, Uncle. I am also thankful for my siblings and their families. I am thankful for my own family with a wonderful wife, Mr. Magoo as well as our eldest son, daughter and now three grandchildren.

I am thankful to spend time here with darling daughter and her family and her in-laws. Our family is unique with 2 sons and a daughter from three different countries. We are thankful for each of them and the unique contribution that they have made to our lives.

It is also a time to be thankful for our friends, community and for this wonderful country that we live in. I hope that you have a great day of football, delicious treats and family time.
