BaBa’s Birthday

Posted by BaBa under: Special Days; Travel .

On Monday, I got the phone calls made and arrangements completed to retrieve the wallet. MaMa and Linda (Joel’s mother) cared for the baby during the morning and played with Sheridan. While they talked, did baby care and played with Sherican, I finished grading the topic for my university classes and posted the grades. It was nice to be caught up with all of the grading and to have gotten some rest yesterday and gotten some rest last night. Later in the afternoon after Tanya got home, we went with Linda to the grocery store to shop for the week and Thanksgiving.

I had an uneventful birthday today. It was a lot different than being on the cruise ship last year. However, when I say it was uneventful, I do not mean that it was not a good birthday. It was a good birthday that was quiet and spent with family. What else can you ask for than to spend your birthday with those you love? The answer is nothing could be better.

This year was the 12 anniversary of my 39th birthday. MaMa helped Linda care for Alexandra during the morning. This was similar to the pattern from yesterday. MaMa, Magoo and I then went to IKEA and then across the street to the Mall of Americas. We had lunch at the Mall and then walked around this massive mall primarily window shopping. We were looking for a netbook for MaMa to carry with her to school on Tuesday with Magoo. I had been shopping the early Black Friday ads that were leaked on the Internet message boards. I found what we were looking for at Radio Shack after we looked at the 10 inch screen models. We got an 11 inch model from Acer with a larger keyboard than the 10 inch models. We were able to get the netbook today and then get the sale price on Friday. It was great to get what we were looking for without getting up at 3:00am and waiting in the cold.

We came home and found that there was birthday balloon tied to the mailbox. Darling daughter had decided to have a quiet celebration at their house with cake and icecream after dinner. I had a great time with MaMa and Magoo and then to come home to Joel, Tanya, Linda and little Alexandra for dinner was fantastic.
