School – Course Choices

MaMa was choosing what subjects that Sheridan would be studying next term. She had a choice of botany, astronomy or zoology for his Science Courses. We decided that Spring would be good for Botany.

She told Sheridan that he would be studying Botany. He of course asked what this was. MaMa told him that it was the study of plants. To this he responded (exact words) – “You better get some seed catalogs as we will need to plant a garden.”

Where did he learn about seed catalogs and make the leap that we would need to grow a garden? It is amazing what he comes up with on his own.
