Unexpected Blessing

Life happens when you are busy making plans. Our wonderful daughter and son- in-law are planners. They both like to plan things so that life goes according to plan. As a teacher, I have learned to balance the planning with flexibility and this point of view comes with the experience gained through living. There is nothing wrong with planning as we do this as part of our lives. By being purposeful in our planning we have been able to achieve many dreams in life. Life has just thrown them a curve, but what a wonderful curve.

Well the phone rang tonight and I got the unexpected news. I am going to be a grandfather again. This is wonderful news. This will be our third grandchild. The first two are now teenagers and we were very young grandparents. As a now older parent of a vivacious three year old, the arrival of this newest grandchild could not be at a better time. Sheridan now will have a new younger niece or nephew.

We have chosen to grow our family through adoption and been blessed with the unique composition that is the fabric is woven together as our family. We now look forward to our newest addition. The coming months will be full of preparations for a new arrival and for prayers for continued good health and a safe arrival sometime in September. Congratulations to our newly expecting parents T and J. Thanks be to God for this wonderful news.
