Errands for 2

Saturday was a day of errands for Magoo and me. MaMa was tired and so the two of us went out together. We made stops at the bank, Chick-Fil-A for lunch and then dropped off a rocker at Amy’s. It was the last thing that they needed for their nursery and MaMa had spotted it for a bargain price at a consignment sale. So I delivered it and did a final check of their paperwork before they leave for China next Wednesday. Yes Amy, you really are going to China next week.

We left Amy and Michael’s house to go by Sheridan’s Godfather’s work and pickup a couple of bracelets that he had repaired for me. Sheridan enjoyed playing with the polished rocks there. We made a quick side trip to REI where Magoo got to play in a tent. Off we went to see the new dinosaur exhibit at the science museum. We arrived only a half hour before closing, but were able to see all of the exhibit. We left and returned home. It was a fun day for just the two of us. I should have communicated better with MaMa as she expected we would return after the trip to Michael and Amy’s house. I was trying to let her get some much needed rest, but in a rare miscue neither of us called and confirmed plans.

We picked MaMa up after our day together and went to dinner where we had a quiet meal at Steak and Shake. Altogether a good day. We are going to follow this up with a lazy day at home for all of us tomorrow.
