Back to our Zoo

Life has been busy and I have been too infrequent with the posting to the blog. Life has been busy with school and the University and everyday life. We have had two Adoption Option Meetings this year and one baby shower and nary a post about any of these. I will have to catch up one day soon as we are writing for Sheridan as we hope that one day he will enjoy reading about his adventures and our lives.

Today, we went to the zoo. With all that has been going on in our lives, it was nice just to have a day with both of us and with our son. He needed some time with both of his parents. We did not got to church this morning, but enjoyed watching a couple of his new favorite show — Blues Clues. We then left the house and head to the zoo, which is one of Sheridan’s favorite places. We got to zoo and had a nice day looking at the Elephants and then up to the Meerkats. Then it was off to a picnic at the park. He wanted to pet the goats so we journeyed to the petting zoo and then back to the bird show. We followed up with a trip to the watch the Gorillas being fed and then playtime at the playground.

We left the zoo in the early afternoon with one tired Magoo. He fell asleep in the car and stayed asleep. We stopped at the mall as I wanted to see if the Disney store had a sale on t-shirts. I got the idea that it would be nice to have a t-shirt for some photos at Disney when we are holiday at the end of the week. Of course, they had a sale and so we got Magoo a Mickey, Pluto and Donald t-shirt. He knows who Mickey is, but does not know the other characters. It will be an eye-opening trip for him. MaMa and I got a t-shirt each. Mickey and Minnie in a plane with the title saying they are staring in — “We are Plane Crazy”. I hope that this is not a foreshadowing of our trip. I expect that it will not be and that we will have a great time.
