(Cruise Day 6) Day at Sea – Thanksgiving

Posted by BaBa under: Travel .

Today was a busy day on the ship as they were having a kid’s fantastic celebration. The line has decorated for Christmas in the past couple of days as the trees have appeared. I am sure that they are not yet finished with the decorations. However, today’s theme is of course Thanksgiving. The ship is decorated for the occasion with a big display in the promenade. There were many fruit creations along with a big turkey. It is here where the kid’s extravaganza was held. Peter Pelican came as well as Krusty the Clown. There was music and face painting, cookie decorating, paper flower creation and button making. He also has a dragon painted on his arm.

Magoo made a paper flower for MaMa. He got his picture made with Krusty and with Peter Pelican. He made badges and a couple of cookies. He liked the cookie making the best as you might well guess. We did a little shopping on board while at sea today. Magoo got a couple of t-shirts as did MaMa. I did some paperwork in regards to our voyage and departure arrangements today.

We came back to the room as he was tired, but did he sleep, no of course not. He had Bob the Builder on his mind. They had played Bob’s theme song during the extravaganza in the promenade which made Magoo look around in excited expectation that Bob was there. He was not there, but he did make an appearance on the DVD player in the room.

He and I went on deck for lunch where he had pepperoni pizza and I had a burger. We returned to the cabin for him to take a short nap. He did not go down well as he was a little tired and on edge. I went down to the cruise sales agent. He then worried that I would get lost. He fell asleep on MaMa. I made another deposit on a future cruise today. We keep money for a future cruise on deposit. This gives us a small shipboard credit and allows us to have a small deposit to a future adventure.

Tonight is a formal night and we will have dinner at the usual table and time. After dinner, we will be headed to Movies under the stars and after that when they are tucked in, I will go to the big production show. MaMa is not able to go to these as they often feature strobes and this gives MaMa really bad migraines.
