Dinner with Lily

We had Lily and parents over for dinner tonight. We really enjoyed getting together with them as we had not seen them in awhile. It was a good evening to have the Lily and Sheridan play together. The adults had a great night of conversation and just catching up on all the news. Lily’s Mom has just finished her coursework for nursing and also been hired to work at Children’s Hospital. This is great news as she has been working so hard to get finished.

Lily’s parents are finishing their paperwork for a second child from China. We talked about the changes since the Hague standards went into effect. We talked about our adoption community and the direction that it is headed for the New Year. We also talked about families that are getting referrals soon and when they might travel.

Lily and Sheridan finished the evening with a song and dance recital for our entertainment. We had a great time with our friends and will have to do this again soon.
