On the Speaking Circuit

Today was a busy day, but most of the day was typical of most days. A busy day at the high school included testing in my classes and then the added task of preparing for a substitute for tomorrow. The day then continued a quick stop at home to load the car followed by checking the air in the tires and a dinner together. We would start the road trip after I was completed teaching my University evening class.

We had a nice dinner together that night and we were all ready to get on the road after class. Rainbow sat in her bed in the back seat and Magoo watched video in his backseat. This is going to be a good travel solution. We made a quick stop at Walmart on the way out of town and got MaMa some medicine and Maggo got a set of headphones. I remember looking in the backseat and not seeing little Magoo, but a teenager. Was this a vision of the future?

We drove until about 1am and then stopped before Nashville. I was too tired to carry on and MaMa was not able to drive either. We got a very inexpensive motel room and slept until about 5am. We got up and back on the road. With just one stop for gas and breakfast, we arrived in time for a quick shower and change of clothes before a quick trip to the conference hotel. I arrived 30 minutes before the session. A little too tight of an arrival, but the best that we could do and all would be fine for the presentations today.
