Early Halloween
Posted by BaBa under: Daily Life .
We went to the Borders in town where they were having a Spooktacular, but it was not that interesting for Sheridan. So we journeyed to the next stop. Our local county chamber of commerce sponsored a Halloween festival at one of the parks here in the county. It was a time for the kid’s to come in costume and collect candy from local organizations and merchants. We will be out of town for Halloween so it was wonderful to have a chance for him to dress up. This was the first time that we had gone to this type of activity. We had a good time and Magoo loved getting candy. He dressed in his Lion’s costume that he picked out a consignment sale.
The head piece did not stay on long and this was a good thing as the fake fur irritated his face. I did manage to get a few photos of him with the hood up. He will get to wear his dragon costume next week at several events. He played games such as shooting baskets, roping a calf head stuck on a hay bale, tossing bean bags and a truly redneck game (deserving of a entire post). We left the festival with a bag of candy and a big smile. What a great treat for Halloween.
