Frantic Pace of Life

Posted by BaBa under: Daily Life .

I am so fare behind and this year it has been hard getting all of the balls in the air to even start the juggling act that is teaching at both schools. Throw into the mix a new administration with a new way of doing things and new expectations and you can see that the juggler has had to work hard to even stay in place let alone get ahead.

I have the best of intentions of getting back to writing on a regular basis and even more posting photos to the site. I have so many good ones, but the 4 night a week schedule plus full weekends has kept me from getting this done. I am currently buried under a mountain of papers to grade as drop date is next week at the University and I have to return grades so that students can make informed decisions as to staying in the class.

We have a whirlwind of travel coming up soon. In two weeks, I got to California for a conference for three days. I will get a chance to visit with a former student in San Jose while I am out there and hope to catch up. At the end of the month, all of us are going to Kentucky for a conference and the next weekend, we will all go to Savannah for another conference.

Yesterday, we spent a nice quiet day at home. We had Bruce, Karen and Micah stay over. We were able to talk as the kids played on the porch. It was a nice way to spend some time with friends. They had come up to stay with us for the Adoption Community meeting at our house on Friday. After they left, MaMa and Sheridan spent the day resting. None of us got out of our PJ’s for the day. MaMa and Sheridan had a nasal flu mist (replaced the shot) earlier in the week and both were suffering from the side-effects of this treatment. Both were stopped up and had runny noses and were just feeling poorly. I graded one entire set of papers and part of a second set. Today, I will complete the second and begin on the third and fourth sets. We have Chinese School today and after that, we are going to spend some quiet time at home. This is so different than last weekend with the Faire, Six Flags and our out of town visitors on Monday.

I did have a little time and added a few sidebar items on the blog including an About Us and tickers for our Birthday Cruise and Holiday trip.

One Comment so far...
