Denver – Cherry Blossom Festival – 06/28/08

Posted by BaBa under: Travel .

We had breakfast at the hotel. Well, we tried to have breakfast. No waffles, only cereal with raisins and hard bagels. Nothing like most LaQuintas for breakfast and we were really disappointed with this inn. We got packed and out the door. We loaded the van, checked out and were headed off downtown to the festival. We made it quickly since we had seen the site yesterday being set up. We had a little fun with one way streets and change for the parking meters, but soon we were squared away and there.

I got two pictures and had then maxed out the memory card. I went back to the van for another and we enjoyed walking and looking at the vendors. Sheridan enjoyed the music. We only looked and did not get anything to bring back home.

We left the festival and went to Applebee’s for lunch on the way to the airport. We had a great meal and were off to the airport. Sheridan enjoyed riding in the rental car bus to the terminal. We got there and off to the bath. I went and then had a helper whose aim was not true. Those little cubbies for diaper changes make an effective bench seat while the BaBa cleans up washes and Thank God for electric hand dryers gets the outfit back in square shape for the ride home.

We made it through security with no problems and then waited for the plane at the gate. This involved several games of hide and go seek with much laughter by Magoo. He did not want to sleep on the flight and with the in head rest TV screen with buttons to push was amused on the way home. He did not bother the person above him. We did arrive home and finally got to the gate and retrieved our car seat. Another short bus ride back to the car lot and we were headed home. It was a great trip, but it is good to be home.
